Project Procurement Manager

For one of our partners in the region of Wavre, we are currently looking for a Project Procurement Manager. You’ll manage the supply base for all packages. You’ll improve the process to control or reduce costs or sash flow in a fast track investment environment.
Your responsibilities
 
  • Introduce procurement in the earliest stage of the project to define the best procurement strategies in order to reduce cost and project timing
  • Manage relationship with main contractors dedicated to construction projects and conduct regular Business review with senior management
  • Promote innovation and ideas coming from supplier base to challenge the internal position to reduce cost and timing
  • Support and implement cost benchmark for all projects in order to improve procurement impact on negotiation and impact on project cost estimate
  • Develop strategic sourcing for local and regional procurement categories
  • Ensure that procurement is involved during the claim management to lead all negotiation with contractors
  • Develop and support with Technical services and the global procurement team a new way of working to improve new Production Unit lead time
Your profile
 
  • Master in Business or similar with a scientific degree. Life sciences background is a plus
  • About 10 years Operational Procurement experience across multiple spend categories : Capex, Opex, Indirect
  • Excellent understanding about technical categories present within all capital projects : building services and Biotech equipment, all construction and specific technique contractors, …
  • Experience in managing across multiple sites globally
  • Experience in change development, implementation and management
  • Result oriented people manager with strong negotiation, convincing and project management skills
  • Good French and English communication skills, both written and spoken
