As Network and Security Engineer you will participate in both operational and project related tasks. For operational tasks you will provide 2nd or 3rd line support for incidents, problems, reporting and monitoring for cases where 1st line team was not able to solve the issue at hand. For project related tasks you will take on the role of Architect or Technical Project Lead for network or security projects or support other project teams, based on your level of experience.
 
Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of networks
  • Prepare and deploy network infrastructure
  • Review of network device configuration and architecture
  • Network device vulnerability and assessment and remediation
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and security devices
  • Support ongoing and new compliance initiatives
  • Enforcement of network and network security policies
  • Ensure connectivity and bandwidth
 
Your profile
  • At least 3 years of experience as Network and Security Engineer (we’re looking for both medior and senior profiles so do not hesitate to apply)
  • Network:
    • Layer 2 (Spanning Tree (PVST, MST), DHCP snooping, IP Source guard, Dynamic ARP)
    • Layer 3 (IP Adressing, BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS)
    • WLAN (Cisco WLC, LWAPP, H-REAP)
  • Security:
    • Networking theory, TCP/IP
    • Firewall l4/l7
    • VPN: IPSec, SSL
    • Protocols: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP(S), FTP
    • Forward proxy
    • IPv6
  • At least one of the following products is known to you
    • Cisco Catalyst, Juniper MX, Juniper Netscreen (ISG, SSG), SRC, Palo Alto, Bluecoat Forward proxy, F5 LTM, Infoblox? FortiNet FortiGate
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
