As part of the Corporate Banking organization in Brussels, the Lean team supports transformation and continuous improvement projects.
The core objectives of these projects are:

  • Improve our external/internal customer service
  • Develop and deploy best practice managerial skills ; Put in place a continuous improvement culture
  • Improve productivity & agility

To achieve these objectives, we work to ensure that results are reached as much as possible through and with internal team experts

Function Description

Principal responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the project together with the area management & make sure objectives & deadlines are met ; work closely with sponsor & floor managers, escalation if necessary
  • Own impact of the transformation area (value for client, productivity, …)
  • Responsible of the program governance & coordination ; delivery of program deadlines within time, scope and budget
  • Prepare & organise project framework (project charter, stakeholders, …) to ensure a smooth project facilitation
  • Prepare, organise and lead the project cascade of meetings (project daily, analysis workshops, trainings, projects boards, weekly progress review, trainings, steering committees, internal preparation & follow-up meetings)
  • Prepare, organise and do project monitoring and reporting (indicators, tools, …)
  • Capacity planning & resource management ; organise detailed objectives definition, schedule and ensure daily follow-up
  • Foster continuous improvement in the transformed team and in the coaches team
  • Support navigators on the ground to help them solve key issues ; coach navigators to ensure success of transformation and team development
  • Escalate when needed with solutions proposal and/or support request
  • Guarantee customer satisfaction (survey, lessons learn, informal feedback collection)
  • Execute an organizational / operational improvement on specific/s dimension/s, e.g: Voice of the Customer, Process Efficiency, Performance Management, Mindsets and Behaviors, Organization and Skills.
  • Gather data, analyse and synthesise results on a specific dimension; syndicate findings with the SPOC
  • Support the SPOC to define the current and future state ; Support the operational teams in the future design and in the improvements implementation
  • Coach the SPOC (e.g. on content, lean tools, role modelling)
  • Follow up on the implementation of the Future State & coach supervisors/managers
  • Own impact (value for client, productivity, …) on specific/s dimension/s, team/s, improvement/s

List of main deliverables (not exhaustive) – Quality of deliverable will be defined by sponsor satisfaction:

  • Project charter
  • Team awareness & 2 days Bootcamp with SPOCs & Trainings (Lean toolbox, Personal development, quickwins sharing, …)
  • Weekly Progress Review pack (visual summary of transformation progress, actions/escalation, next steps, findings summary with facts & impacts)
  • Weekly Management meeting pack (management escalation & decision) & 3 Steercos (main findings, main solutions & impacts, implementation done & next steps)
  • Detailed transformation actions plan (painpoints, actions, expected impact of the actions, feasibility confirmed)
  • Current & Future Overall Process Efficiency (with figures validated by sponsor & line managers)
  • Except if value is defined as useless by project team, at least conduct following analyses : volumes, deliverables usage, client surveys, client interviews, current & future meeting cascade, current & future manager pie, current & future KPI, Whiteboard & capacity management tools, SIPOC, MIFAs, Observations, Timesheeting, Painpoints collection, Skill matrix & training plan, employees interviews & surveys, organization analysis & design
  • New analyses methodo & templates suggested by coaches team will be owned by BNPPFortis ; existing methodo & templates must not be forward

Your profile
 

  • Education Master or equivalent by experience
  • Certification Lean black belt (optional)
  • Languages: French Strong written & spoken communication skills in Dutch and French,and English
  • Experience At least 5 years in Lean or equivalent
  • Proven experience in similar projects in a big organisation
  • Has a significant experience as a Lean consultant
  • Has experience on Project Management
  • Strong expertise in MS Office (mainly Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Has possibly had a previous management position and has possibly an IT or OPS background
  • Agile practices
  • Banking knowledge is a plus
  • Transversal management skills and the ability to motivate people
  • Is able to understand and structure problems, evaluate impacts and help define solutions
  • has good skills in Project, Planning and Organization
  • Strong organizational insight
  • Curious and familiar with digital solution and/or IT quickwins
  • Pareto & goal oriented ; Structure approach, Straight to the point, Focus on value,
